Every effort is made to ensure accurate information and descriptions. However, we will not be held responsible for errors or omissions displayed on this website. All colours of products shown on this website are intended for use as a guide and are not guaranteed to be accurate, as we have no control as to how they will display on your computer.

Get a Quotation

We will provide a written quotation which can be accepted online. Every online quote will have a PDF copy attached showing payment terms and approximate lead times.

Making A Purchase

Some machines and other products can be purchased online here - dependent on your location.

Contact Solent using the contact form or by email to purchase a machine. Please supply Company name where applicable, Invoice and delivery addresses, contact name, telephone number and email address. Customers from EU please supply VAT and EORI number. Some other countries require NIP (personal tax reference) for imports - please supply this number withy the order.

Payment

We require payment in full with order unless a machine has a delivery time of more than 2 weeks from order - in this case we require a deposit with balance of payment before collection / delivery.

We quote in GBP (Pounds Sterling). If you require an invoice in Euros or USD this can be arranged and will be calculated at the current day's exchange rate on XE.

Payments should be made to the corresponding bank account - Solent have GBP, EUR and USD accounts.

Shipping And Handling

All prices exclude packing and delivery unless stated otherwise. All machines leaving the UK mainland will need to be crated. We use a professional packing company who abide by international standards. For your peace of mind we will always attach devices that show if a crate has been mishandled.

Lead Times

Lead times can vary considerably between different models. This will be mentioned in the PDF attached to the online quote.

Tax Charges

Quotes will be priced ex. VAT unless stated otherwise. UK and Northern Ireland - current rate of VAT will be charged. Outside UK and Northern Ireland, you will be charge your local rate of VAT on import. It is your responsibility to check whether import duties apply -these will be payable on import to your tax authority. This may be collected by the transport company's agent or your own, depending on how transport is arranged.

Product warranty

All new sewing machines carry a  2 year parts and labour limited* warranty. Durkopp Adler sewing machines and Miller Weldmaster welding machines carry a 1 year parts and labour limited* warranty. Full details are included with each product. Parts & accessories do not carry the one year warranty, this does not affect your statutory rights. If you need help contact us on +44 (0)23 9232 5975.

*excludes high mortality parts such as bobbins, needles, bobbin cases, needle plates, knives, blades, wedge assemblies, heater elements, thermocouples, filter cartridges etc. This is not an exhaustive list, other items may be excluded.
